Bespoke Irish wood sculpture, created by myself, Ray McCullough, an artist & designer, is available to view and purchase from this website.
Background 
Art, of all forms, and expressed in so many different ways, has captured my interested from an early age. Throughout my life I have experimented with various mediums and have studied, and gained qualifications in, world art and history. Over the past eight years I have concentrated on sculpture, having used mainly wood and ceramics to achieve the effects I desired. Through selling my art in garden centres and markets around Ireland, I have gained knowledge in arts production and marketing.
My life experiences permeate my work, which serves as a salient channel of self-expression. Despite being heavily influenced by my native Irish homeland, I have a multi-cultural, and sometimes abstract, perspective. There are no boundaries to what I may create, or to media that I may utilise in such creation.
Until now, sculpting has functioned mainly as an enjoyable hobby. By day I am a landscape gardener, an occupation which blends perfectly with this pastime. However, I am now able to devote more of my time to sculpture and wish to create personalised custom designs. Some of the sculptures in the photo section are for sale and if they have been sold, remakes can be created. 
Aliens, animals, abstract shapes, figurative ornaments and decorative furniture are just some of the designs I have produced and sculpted. A particular favourite of mine was a hand-painted totem pole, which made an outstanding feature in an otherwise plain garden. If you have an idea for a sculpture or any artistic piece I aim to be able to design and build it, or sculpt it, as the case and may be…and remember, there are no boundaries….let your imagination run away with you!
